Program Description
This three year co-operative education Ontario College Advanced Diploma program provides students with the skills required to design, install, troubleshoot and maintain microcomputer systems and networking equipment. As well, students will be able to install, configure and administer various operating systems. Advanced topics in network management, communication protocols, security, web support, database servers and mail servers are included. Instruction in communication and interpersonal skills train the student to interact with all levels of computer users in both oral and written mediums. Upon completion of the program students will have the knowledge necessary to take exams for the following industry certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA's A+, Network+ and Security +, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSA).
